Mt Gravatt District Horse & Pony Club Programs & Draws

In pony club, riders of all ages are able to compete in a variety of disciplines including:



At all club and zone competitions (excluding the cross country phase of one day events), full club formal uniform must be worn.

The Mt Gravatt formal uniform consists of:
  • Mitchel Blue long sleeved shirt
  • White tie
  • Cream/beige jodhpurs or stockmans pants
  • Approved polished black or brown top boots, jodhpur boots or jodhpur boots and leather gaiters.
  • Approved black or white helmet.
  • White Mt Gravatt saddle blanket.

The formal uniform can be purchased from Debra Newman Mob: 0423536477 or at the Clubhouse on Muster Days.
At the PCAQ State Championsips, Zone uniform (Zone 1) is generally worn, please contact Margie Davidson (Zone 1 secretary)

To nominate for competitions, firstly check the PCAQ Calendar of Competitions, Current Programs & Draws or your email for competition dates/programs which have been emailed from the club secretary. When you have a competition in mind, and have read the program and know what class you wish to enter (for your age/ability group), email the club nominations secretary with either the nomination form attached to the draw, or provide details of:
Class number (from program)
Riders name
Horses name
Club
PCAQ number
Performance Card number (if official)
PIC (Property Identification Code) number
Total Cost
Where relevent - whether riding HC or Senior including Height Class, and if a team is entering.
Email your nomination to the club nominations secretary

Per PCAQ Recommendations you will be required to have a signed & completed Horse Declaration Form to hand in to the Event Organisers on the Day of Competition to receive your Back number's etc.

To compete at the PCAQ State Championships, you must have a PCAQ Proficiency 'C' Certificate if 13yrs & over; or D Certificate if 12 & Under, appropriate qualifying performances, and if 13-26 - have a current official performance card (to compete in the official classes). These are usually mentioned on the State Program.
Qualifying performances are as follows: Please recheck these requirements each year
  • Dressage: - You need 2 separate qualifying performances at the level you wish to compete which:
    • Were within the past 12 months (since last years State Championships)
    • You placed overall top 10
    • Have an overall dressage percentage across the two tests of these competitions over 55%
  • Show Jumping: - You need 2 separate qualifying performances at the level you wish to compete which:
    • Were within the past 12 months (since last years State Championships)
    • You placed overall top 10
    • One of these performences had a clear show jumping round
  • Eventing: - You need 2 separate qualifying performances at the level you wish to compete which:
    • Were within the past 12 months (since last years State Championships)
    • You placed overall top 10
    • Scored over 50% in the dressage and have no more than 40 XC Penalties
  • Combined Training: - You need 2 separate qualifying performances at the level you wish to compete which:
    • Were within the past 12 months (since last years State Championships)
    • You placed overall top 10
    • Scored over 50% in the dressage




EFA



At Mt Gravatt Pony Club, we host a number of EFA one day events (ODE's) or Events throughout the year, which is a great and stress free opportunity for riders to try their hand at a different competition whilst on farmiliar grounds. These are run very differently to Pony Club ODE's, to which the rules are outlined Here.
