Hacking, otherwise known as showing is not an official Pony Club competition in Queensland, however some Pony Clubs around Queensland hold "Open Hack Days". These types of classes may also be found in Gymkanas (including Rider Class), or as an official class in Pony Club competition in other States.

The aim is to present yourself and your horse to the judge in a manner that best shows the horses conformation, movement, education, your riding ability, etc... in an overall picture. The judge will request a simple work out, often involving circles with changes of direction at trot and canter.

As the judge is more looking at the overall picture more than purely the work out, presentation is very important in showing.

For information and show dates for shows outside Pony Club, see "http://www.qcas.net.au/"The Queensland Chamber of Agricultural Societies".
